Terms of Use

Effective date: September 16, 2026

Welcome to GymSidekick, operated by MyGymSidekick LLC (“MyGymSidekick,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

GymSidekick is a coaching and workout-logging platform used by fitness coaches and their clients. Coaches manage their own clients and are responsible for the coaching guidance they provide.

Your account

Health & fitness disclaimer — please read

GymSidekick provides general fitness and exercise information and tools. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical care.

  • Consult a physician before starting any exercise program — especially if you have a medical condition or injury, are pregnant, or have not exercised in a while.
  • Exercise carries inherent risks, including injury. You participate at your own risk.
  • Stop and seek medical attention if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort.
  • Any workouts, weights, or recommendations shown are general suggestions that may not be right for you. Use your own judgment and your coach’s guidance.
  • MyGymSidekick LLC is not responsible for injuries, health outcomes, or the advice given by any coach using the platform.

Working around pain, injury, or a health condition

  • GymSidekick includes features to note pain or discomfort so a workout can be eased or routed around a sore area. These are general fitness adjustments, not medical care. The app does not diagnose, treat, rehabilitate, or provide physical-therapy or medical advice for any pain, injury, or condition.
  • The in-app safety questions and pain ratings are a basic safety prompt, not a medical screening or clearance. They do not evaluate your health or determine whether exercise is safe for you.
  • Chronic or ongoing pain and medical conditions: if you have a chronic pain condition, a prior or current injury, or any medical condition, get evaluated and cleared by a qualified healthcare professional (such as a physician or physical therapist) before using these features, and follow their guidance. The app is meant to help a qualified trainer choose a reasonable starting point within that guidance — not to replace it.
  • Coaches: these tools support your professional judgment; they do not replace it. You remain responsible for deciding whether an exercise suits your client, working within any medical clearance, referring out when appropriate, and staying within your scope of practice and the law.
  • Stop and get help: if you notice warning signs — a recent fall or blow, numbness or tingling, a joint that buckles or a limb that will not work normally, feeling unwell or feverish, or pain that is severe (about 6/10 or higher) or worsening — stop and seek medical attention. The app will often flag these and suggest a check-up, but it cannot catch everything.
  • Easing or routing a workout around discomfort reduces but does not eliminate risk. The app cannot detect every injury or contraindication. MyGymSidekick LLC is not liable for injuries or outcomes related to exercising with pain or any condition.

Your agreement with your coach

If you use GymSidekick as a client of a coach or trainer, your training relationship is governed by your own agreement with that coach — including any health questionnaire (such as a PAR-Q), waiver, or liability release they have you sign. Those agreements are between you and your coach; MyGymSidekick LLC is not a party to them and does not provide, review, or rely on them. The app’s features, including any pain or safety prompts, are tools your coach may use within that relationship — they do not create a separate agreement with us or replace the one you have with your coach.
